A popular destination in the Boise Foothills has some new and improved trailhead features.

The City of Boise says the trailhead at Hillside to Hollow Reserve received a new bathroom, drinking fountain, dog water station, bike racks, ADA accessible parking and 25 dedicated parking spaces for recreationists. A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held on Tuesday.

"Hillside to Hollow Reserve is an example of a great partnership to provide trails to so many Boiseans and their pets," said Lauren McLean, Boise mayor. "I've watched this trailhead take shape over the last few months as I've run the trails with my dog, Moose. It will be great to see Boiseans enjoying this trailhead for years to come."

The city purchased the eight-acre parcel of land in 2019 for $435,000 from Healthwise.
